Adiam is an Associate Solicitor and works with all of Waterfront’s teams but primarily the IP and Dispute Resolution team and the Commercial and Data Protection team.
IP and Dispute Resolution
Adiam assists with contentious and non-contentious matters including design infringement, trade mark infringement and passing off, copyright infringement, patent infringement, breach of contract, and commercial disputes.
She has advised and represented clients from large high profile companies to small tech start-ups from a wide range of industries including retail, fashion, and tech. Adiam deals with all aspects of IP disputes, from the pre-action stage through to litigation in the High Court and IPEC (Intellectual Property Enterprise Court).
Commercial and Data Protection
Adiam specialises in all areas of commercial contract work and has vast experience in data privacy, data breach and data protection agreements. Adiam is also experienced working on IT contracts, including software as a service (SaaS), software resale, maintenance and support, and platform as a service (PaaS).
Adiam works with start-up companies, SME’s, tech entrepreneurs as well as multinational companies on all elements of commercial contract negotiations and collaborative contracting. She also has experience advising and negotiating on behalf of higher education and pharmaceutical sectors. Clients often comment on Adiam’s commercial, pragmatic approach and excellent commercial judgement as well as her skill at identifying risks and providing targeted solutions.
Corporate and Employment
Adiam’s expertise in data protection and commercial contracts is called on regularly by her colleagues in Waterfront’s employment and corporate teams.
Adiam joined the Waterfront team in April 2022 with 12 years’ experience working at both medium sized and large city firms and in-house legal departments. She has completed the Bar Vocational Course and was called to The Bar of England and Wales.
