Boris Petri is an Associate in the IP and Disputes team. He assists with contentious and non-contentious matters including trade mark, design, copyright, and patent infringement, alongside other commercial disputes.
I have advised a range of SMEs on their brand protection strategies, and individuals on protecting their intellectual property rights. Along with experience of High Court disputes involving copyright and trade mark infringement, as well as breaches of confidential information, I also have experience of dealing with IP aspects in corporate transactions and drafting licensing/assignment agreements. Aside from IP matters, I have experience in other areas of dispute resolution including debt recovery, insolvency, and property litigation.
Prior to joining Waterfront in February 2025, I worked in the Dispute Resolution team at Downs Solicitors LLP where I qualified as a solicitor in December 2022.
I prioritise strong client relationships and clear, pragmatic advice, taking the time to understand each client’s objectives and tailoring strategies to balance risk, cost and speed.
