Henry advises businesses and individuals on the protection and enforcement of IP rights, including trade marks, copyright, designs, and patents.

I am an IP lawyer with over three years’ post-qualification experience.  I joined Waterfront in April 2024, where I continue to develop a broad contentious IP practice alongside selected non-contentious work.

Prior to Waterfront I worked in the IP & Commercial team at Geldards LLP for 4 years, where I also completed my training contract.

My experience spans a full range of IP disputes including trade marks, passing off, design rights, copyright and patents, as well as proceedings before the UK IPO and the Company Names Tribunal.

I also advise on commercial and contractual disputes.

I take a pragmatic, commercially focused approach to resolving disputes and have played a role in achieving strong outcomes for clients through negotiation and mediation.

Areas of Expertise

  • Representing a famous Turkish coffee manufacturer in IPEC proceedings in respect of its claims of trade mark infringement and passing off against a number of connected UK companies operating a series of cafés in London.
  • Acting for a US claimant, one of the world leaders within the immersive art experience industry, in High Court copyright infringement proceedings relating to activities of an immersive art provider in the UK.
  • Advising a craft beer company in respect of a dispute arising from alleged breaches of a licensing agreement in relation to the sale of branded beer and other alcoholic beverages.
  • Acting for an individual in respect of a dispute over ownership of crypto assets.
  • Acting for one of Europe’s leading fashion shoe brands in IPEC trade mark proceedings, and parallel trade mark oppositions at the UK IPO.
  • Representing an Irish company in Company Names Tribunal proceedings relating to the incorporation of company under the laws of England & Wales by a former employee.

I am a loyal Wales football fan, who still enjoys playing the game. When not at the office or the football, I enjoy going to music events and am lucky enough to have been to Glastonbury Festival (twice!).
